Blue Lights

When Emily came home from college there were a few days where she had time on her hands. One day I came home and there were blue Christmas lights added to our living room holiday décor. I love it!

Today I shopped. I mean I shopped all day.  Let me tell you, I saw some pretty funny things happening right out in the parking lot.  The funniest was the Old Lady who jumped out of her car to direct traffic so she and her companion could have a parking spot only 3 spots away from the front door. She was tapping on the backs of two different cars that were getting ready to back out. She would wave her arms letting them know they were good to back out. Then once one car had backed out, she stood in the spot until her companion could back up far enough to pull into the awesome parking space. Then she suddenly realized the car next to the space she was standing in was even closer. So, she signaled to that driver to go ahead and back out. After stopping her companion from backing up any further and everyone waited while she got what she wanted.  It was really a riot to watch. I had a good laugh.

The stores were ever so crowded. But, I survived 3 different shopping trips with different groups of children and Hubby. Now I have SOME  major wrapping to get to. I also have some baking to do. So, this means I am taking a little blogging break for the next few days. Although, my version of a blogging break means that I may or may not post. But, I will be catching up on reading every ones blogs in between baking, wrapping and playing games with my children.

Merry Christmas from my house to yours!

  1. I'm catching up on reading your blog--I've been missing for the past month because of our busy, hectic schedule.

sounds like you've had your share, too. I hope your daughter is getting some relieve from her illness. Your decorations are so fun & I love the blue lights.

Thanks for sharing your play dough recipe--I think I'll make it with my kids over the break. Merry Christmas!

  2. OMG, I loved this. That is hysterical what the lady did to get a parking space. Kinda good idea that I will store in my head if I ever need a parking spot and want to be bold. A Merry Christmas to you and your family,
    Fondly, Sue
